With WMT and GE both pressing the lows of the day I don't think the market is going to hold up. I would guess people are caught long and if the statistics fail today wont people expect them to fail on Friday? And the OIH just ticked a new high to boot.
I would put the resilience in the face of a weak dollar in the plus column but that is not going to help much into the close.
