The herding instincts of investors are truly remarkable. Similar beasts stick together, chasing the same stocks at the same time and often risking great financial peril, but such instincts can also overwhelm very different investor species. In recent times the grandest of hedge fund managers have found themselves thundering shoulder to shoulder with the scruffiest day traders ... towards oblivion.The article makes some interesting comparisons but its probably a little over the top. Entertaining reading though.
